Rose Garden Chinese Takeaway
Welcome to the Rose Garden Chinese Takeaway! Nestled at 109 Derby Road in Long Eaton, this charming eatery has been serving a delightful array of Chinese cuisine to the local community. Whether you're craving something crispy, sweet, or spicy, Rose Garden boasts a diverse menu that caters to every palate.
With a selection of mouthwatering appetisers, including 6 Pieces of Prawns on Toast (£5.30) and the decadent Aromatic Crispy Duck and Pancakes (£10.00), the starters set a promising tone for your meal. For those who appreciate a taste of the sea, their Dim Sum Combination is a must-try, featuring an assortment of bite-sized delights like pancake rolls and curry samosas.
As you delve deeper into their menu, the Cantonese dishes stand out. The Lemon Honey Chicken (£7.50) is a personal favorite, offering a perfect balance of flavors with a delightful crispy finish, while the Deep Fried Crispy Beef, seasoned with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce, is a bold choice that won't disappoint.
Vegetarian and health-conscious diners won't feel left out either; dishes such as the Mixed Vegetables with Black Bean Sauce (£7.20) provide a fresh and savory option that pairs wonderfully with fried rice or noodles. Speaking of rice, their Pa Po Fried Rice, a flavorful medley packed with king prawns, diced roast duck, and chicken (£7.50), is simply irresistible.
As I explored the menu further, I couldn't help but notice the customer feedback. While many patrons share heartwarming reviews about the long-standing tradition and taste that has kept them coming back for years, a few remarks also brought to light some areas of concern regarding the quality of certain dishes. This duality reflects the evolving nature of takeaway dining — expectations can vary widely from one patron to the next.
Despite these mixed experiences, my culinary journey at Rose Garden was largely positive. The ingredients felt fresh, and the flavors were vibrant, resonating with the essence of traditional Chinese cooking. Each dish embodies craft, care, and a rich tapestry of flavors designed to tantalize your taste buds.

I've been ordering food from Rose Garden for nine years or more and always been delighted by how good their different items are. I've ordered lots of different things (the Hog So Chicken is awesome) and it's always been really good! I've just noticed some of the reviews here on Google and I'm shocked at some of the things people have said. For all the times I've ordered, they've delivered in record time, it's been hot and fresh just about every time. Seriously I've ordered a lot! I'm waiting for a delivery now and I'll take some pics for you when it arrives!

Ordered takeaway from here tonight and had to take it back, the black bean sauce was flavourless and the beef was tough as old boots, the prawns tasted off (like dish water), prawn toast, spring rolls and pork where the worst I have ever had. The lady in the store said there was nothing she could do as we purchased it from Just Eat, this is incorrect as Just Eat sell on behalf of the restaurant. please avoid this place like the plague

We order from here everytime but won't be anymore spent £ on food and it was so bland. No flavour at all. The chicken chow mein tasted really bad, the chicken had an awful taste to it. The beef in oyster sauce was so tough that we gave up eating it. The foo yung had no flavour whatsoever. The only thing that was nice was the wontons. I'm really disappointed tbh, they normally deliver delicious food.

AVOID, THEY SELL SPOILED FOOD! There is a reason why this takeaway vendor opens on Mondays and Tuesdays while others are shut. First of all, they have a small boy taking orders who does not own any accountability (I'd not expect any from a year old boy), but the lady (probably the owner) is very rude. I ordered few items for my young family's dinner and specified no chillies at all. The foods were so spicy that I had to cook again for my children. I was fine with that as I could still consume the food, but when I actually tasted the 'spare ribs', it SMELLED OFF and TASTED ROTTEN. I called them, but they would not own up. So I packed up the food in a bag and cycled miles just to prove the FOOD WAS SPOILED. Eventually they accepted their mistake/GREED and agreed to refund. With this I also returned another food item which was too spicy (against my specification). But the lady started becoming argumetative and said she couldn't do anything about it and would not refund. That's fine she can keep the money, but certainly going to report this incident to the Food Standards Team - they are selling food items not fit for human consumption. Please inbox me if you know any other way to punish this behaviour (fairly and legally).
